The Handwritten
Monthly. Local. 100% by hand.
A magazine no machine touched.
Issue #1 arrives February 2027.
The Handwritten is a monthly magazine made entirely by hand. Every story is written in ink. Every comic, drawing and even every ad is made by a real person, one line at a time. Then we print it in black and white, fold it, staple it, and put it in your hands.
Made by hand
Every word, drawing, comic and ad. No typing, no AI, no tracing. If a hand didn't make it, it isn't in here.
Made by you
The pages come from readers. Send us your stories, drawings and comics, and the best ones are printed in next month's issue.
Made to hold
A small black-and-white magazine you can fold into a pocket, leave on a table, and pass to a friend.
For every artist, everywhere.
Right now, the world is filling up with words nobody wrote and pictures nobody drew. We wanted to make the opposite.
A handwritten page holds things a screen can't: the pressure of the pen, the crossed-out word, the margin doodle, the place your hand got tired. It's proof that a person was here.
The Handwritten is a home for that proof. It's for the kid who draws on everything, the grandmother with a story nobody's heard, the poet with a notebook in their back pocket, and every artist who ever wondered if the slow, human way still matters.
It does. Pick up a pen. Make something. We'll print it.
